My name is Lane, I am 32 years old. I am a husband and a father. I grew up in Grand Forks, ND, lived as an adult in Lawrence, KS and now currently live in North Kingstown. I am fond of the memories that occurred in the Midwest, and I am anxious to develop new memories on the East coast. I graduated with a BA in history from the University of North Dakota. I worked for many years in sales at a beverage wholesaler where I learned how to communicate positively with people who may have far different personality traits than I was accustomed to. I felt like I was good at this position, but felt unfulfilled. I felt like I needed to find a career that could have the potential to leave a lasting impression on others. After having a child, I felt inclined to explore elementary education, as I can only remember one male teacher in my elementary experience and how he served as a role model to the other 5th grade students. I am passionate about urban education and the resilience required by the students and faculty to succeed. I enjoy spending time with my family while watching my son grow mentally and physically.
